How redirects and missing pages are tested here
Summary
One old address answers with a permanent 301 redirect to the crawl test guide, and one listed address does not exist and answers with a real 404 status. The page fetcher does not follow redirects, so the redirect is recorded as a status observation, not as an observed page.
Detail
The hosting platform also redirects folder addresses written without a trailing slash. The sitemap and every internal link therefore use the exact trailing-slash form, so those automatic redirects never appear in the crawl.
